Of course, if I didn't love it, I wouldn't do it, but it's definitely not a get rich, or even a get a livable wage gig. At least for me. For example, I just received a check from one of my websites for affiliate referral sales of $112. That was for an entire year!
Now, I know people are saying, well, you just aren't doing it right. Of course, I know that. But I got myself a guru, I worked hard at creating and maximizing websites and at one point, I was making pretty good money. Yet, I found it just took too much of my time to keep up with all that really has to be done to keep people coming into the site and buying products, etc. I needed my own time back.
I guess my point is that a few people do extraordinarily well and they get to travel the world. The steps to do make money doing this are easy, but the time involved is massive.
If you do decide to pursue the digital traveler experience, be prepared to be in your room writing, or running a webinar, or creating advertising while everyone else is out at the beach.
As for me, I will build and work on my sites for the love of them and when they bring me some passive income I will be thankful.
